  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tbsp water (optional, for cornstarch slurry)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Pour over chicken.
  5. Simmer for 5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly. For a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the skillet.
  6. Garnish with green onions and serve over rice or steamed vegetables.
