About Nancy Johnson

Hey there! I’m Nancy.

The Modern Plant-Based Explorer

I’m Nancy Johnson, the 35-year-old cousin from the “American side” of the family. While Jessica and Emily were growing up with the Bosphorus breeze and saffron tea, I was raised on backyard barbecues, Sunday pot roasts, and the wide-open skies of the Midwest before I eventually made my way out West. I didn’t grow up with their spice bazaars, but I did inherit the Johnson family obsession with good food—I just decided to take it in a greener, crunchier direction.

My Plant-Based Journey

My path to the kitchen started when I realized that the heavy meals I grew up loving didn’t always love me back. I dove headfirst into the world of plant-based eating, determined to prove that “vegan” doesn’t have to mean “boring” or “flavorless.” I’m a total gadget geek at heart; my air fryer is practically my sous-chef, and I love finding ways to use technology to make healthy food fast, accessible, and incredibly delicious.

Efficiency Meets Flavor I love the challenge of taking my cousins’ rich, traditional flavors and translating them into vibrant, plant-based versions that anyone can enjoy. I’m the one who will show you how to make a crispy, air-fried version of falafel that isn’t oily, or a creamy pasta sauce using cashews instead of heavy cream. My kitchen is a laboratory where tradition meets efficiency, proving that you can nourish your body, respect the planet, and still have dinner on the table in twenty minutes.
