1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
