  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup diced carrots
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring chicken broth and water to a boil.
  2. Add diced carrots, celery, and onions. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. While vegetables cook, mix flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and butter to form dough.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of dough into the simmering broth.
  5. Add shredded chicken and black pepper.
  6. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
