  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.
  3. Drain potatoes and mash with milk, butter, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add onion, carrots, and garlic. Cook until vegetables soften.
  6. Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth.
  7. Add frozen peas and simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Transfer beef mixture to a baking dish.
  9. Spread mashed potatoes evenly over the top.
  10. Bake for 20 minutes until top is golden.
  11. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
