A rich and savory dip featuring caramelized onions and melted Gruyere cheese, perfect for parties or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized (about 20 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a bowl, mix Gruyere, cream cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  5. Fold in caramelized onions.
  6. Transfer to an oven-safe dish and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until bubbly.
  7. Serve warm with bread or crackers.
