A classic bread pudding recipe that’s easy to make and perfect for using leftover bread.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups stale bread, cubed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Place bread cubes in the dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Pour mixture over bread. Press down to soak.
  6. Add raisins if using.
  7. Drizzle melted butter on top.
