  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and celery, cook until soft.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually add chicken broth and milk, stirring until thickened.
  5. Add turkey and mixed vegetables. Stir well.
  6. Pour mixture into a pie dish. Cover with pie crust.
  7. Cut slits in the crust for steam to escape.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • You can use leftover chicken instead of turkey.
