A quick and flavorful dish featuring perfectly seared scallops served with a spicy Cajun cream sauce. Ideal for a gourmet dinner at home.

Ingredients

  • 12 large scallops, patted dry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Season scallops with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear scallops for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  5. Add Cajun seasoning and stir for 10 seconds.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and lemon juice. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Return scallops to the pan and coat with the sauce.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Pat scallops dry thoroughly for a better sear.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan when searing.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
