A quick and easy spicy ground beef skillet recipe perfect for a weeknight dinner. Ready in just 15 minutes, this dish is packed with flavor and simple to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  5. Stir in diced bell pepper, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
  6. If using, sprinkle shredded cheese over the top and cover until melted.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Serve with rice, tortillas, or a side salad.
